Professor Yemi Osinbajo is the Vice President of Nigeria, in office since 29th May 2015. He is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Professor of Law and until his inauguration as Vice President, a Senior Partner with SimmonsCooper Partners, a commercial law practice.
He was appointed Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in 1999 and reappointed for second term in 2003. During the period of his public service, he commenced the Lagos State Justice reform project. A prominent feature of that project was the establishment of the Directorate for Citizens’ Rights(DCR) which provides free legal services and legal representation to indigent citizens of the state. This initiative gave a voice to many who would otherwise not have a way to access their rights.
Prior to that appointment, Professor Osinbajo was the Head of Public Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos. Between 1988 and 1992, he was the special Adviser to the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Prof. Osinbajo is Co-founder & Board Member Convention of Business Integrity and the Justice Research Institute Ltd, and has authored several law books.
In 2007, Prof, and his wife Oludolapo founded “The Orderly Society Trust”, a non-governmental organization that is dedicated to the promotion of Christian ethics and orderliness.

‘Poju Oyemade is the Senior Pastor of Covenant Christian Centre, Lagos. The church is located at 400 Herbert Macaulay Way – Yaba, Lagos. This fast growing church holds 5 services every Sunday morning, with two taking place at The Covenant Place, one at the Yaba Centre and two Family Service taking place at The Covenant Chapel, Lekki. He was called to ministry whilst he was still an undergraduate at the University of Lagos. He was ordained into ministry by Bishop David Oyedepo, the presiding bishop of Living Faith Ministries Worldwide (a.k.a Winner’s Chapel).
Pastor ‘Poju is a teacher of the Word of faith with insight into how believers can apply biblical principles in a pragmatic and practical way in their daily lives. A 1989 BSc holder in International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife with a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy (MILD) from the University of Lagos in 1997, Olusegun Adeniyi began his journalism career as a Staff Reporter with ‘The Guardian’ newspaper of Nigeria in December 1990. In April 1992, he left ‘The Guardian’ to join the ‘African Concord’ magazine as a Senior Staff Writer and in September of the same year, he was appointed the magazine’s Abuja Bureau Chief with accreditation to cover the State House.
Adeniyi joined THISDAY newspaper in January 1999 as Deputy Editor of the Saturday newspaper before he later became editor of the Sunday THISDAY; and in August 2005, he was appointed the editor of THISDAY title. On 30th May, 2007, he was appointed by the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to be his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, a position he occupied until Yar’Adua died on 5th May, 2010.
Adeniyi has attended and participated in several professional and academic programmes in many countries. Notably, in July 2007, he attended the International Visitor Leadership Programme organised by the US State Department.
