Samuel Egube holds an Executive Master degree in Business Administration from the prestigious International School of Management (IESE), University of Navarra Barcelona having initially held a Bachelors degree in Engineering with a second-class upper division in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA), an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), A Corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Registered member of the Council for regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and an Honorary Senior member of Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB). He has attended various local and international courses including management/leadership programs at IESE (Spain), INSEAD (France), Wharton (USA) and Columbia Business School (USA).
He has significant experience in various sectors of the economy, including Banking, Business consulting, Construction and Engineering, Training and public speaking. These experiences were acquired in very strong institutions that include Arthur Andersen & Company (now KPMG professionals in Nigeria), United Bank for Africa Plc, NNB International Bank Plc, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Diamond Bank Plc, where he left as Corporate Banking Director.
He was Chairman/member of several company boards, mainly in the Financial, Engineering/Construction, Advisory and Media services sectors of the economy. He also served as an Advisor in the Expert in residence program of the Enterprise development center of Pan Atlantic University, Lagos until he was appointed in August 2019 as the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budgets for Lagos State where he currently serves.
Samuel Egube is the author of several books in the inspirational and self-help genres. He is happily married to Edith Egube and they have two lovely children David and Elizabeth.
