Dr. Prince Okonkwo, Fellow of Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, holds a bachelors degree in Business Technology and Honourary Doctorate degree from Dean College, London, United Kingdom and Carolina University, United States of America respectively. Prince D. Okonkwo left his cozy engagement in the United Kingdom where he worked with Macdonald Food and rose to the post of a Supervisor. He returned to Nigeria driven by the passion to set up an establishment that will offer world-class services and mark the reinvention of catering and food services industry in Nigeria in line with international best practice.
He is currently the Chairman, Board of Directors of Tetrazzini Foods Plc which he is also the founder. A company he established as a Fast Food Chain and African Restaurant in December, 1999. By virtue of hard work , diligence and commitment, he has transformed his business ideas into a vibrant business empire by establishing the Tetrazzini Group of Companies. He is now the CEO of Tetrazzini Foods Plc, Tetrazzini Properties Limited, Tetrazzini Farms and Agro-Allied Industry Limited, Tetrazzini Oil and Gas Limited, Zzini Media Concepts Limited, Tetrazzini Construction Company Limited , Tetrazzini Bureau De Change amongst others.
He is an Executive Member of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship of Nigeria. He is President, Nigeria Youth Leaders Forum, National President, Nigeria Intercessory Group (NIG), he served as Councilor in Oshodi & Isolo L.G.A, Lagos, Member Delegation of Team Nigeria to USA Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games and Member World Youth Assembly.
The leadership and entrepreneurial qualities of Dr Prince Okonkwo have translated into various awards and recognitions; some of which are The Most Outstanding Entrepreneur Gold Meritorious Award (2005), Excellent Leadership Platinum Award (2006), and the NTA Award of Excellence (2010).
He is a staunch supporter of the school of thought that believes that security is a critical element to the attraction of foreign and local investments in businesses and their eventual sustainability. Prince Okonkwo is not just a renown entrepreneur, he is also a philanthropist and humanitarian who is constantly seeking ways to improve the living conditions of the people. He has solely carried out numerous projects with the sole aim of providing succor to the people. Some of his many contributions include: the Widows Support Programme in Anambra State initiated in 2008 and still ongoing, the Scholarship Scheme for sponsoring indigent students through their higher education since 1999 till date.
The General Library in Ojoto, Anambra State which he built in 2001. He is currently the Patron of Bethesda Child Support Agency, Lagos and Little Saints Orphanage, Lagos. In 2017, He was one of the Governorship Candidate for Anambra State (APC).
He is happily married to Princess Rachael Okonkwo, a seasoned administrator; business development expert and strategic planner , whose managerial dexterity and know-how has contributed immensely to the success of Tetrazzini Foods Plc.
